Forward Family Mediation is an independent mediation practice specialising in helping separating or divorcing couples resolve all types of disputes, primarily in childcare and finances.
All our mediators are professionally trained and accredited by the Family Mediation Council, the body that regulates and governs family mediation in the UK.

Going to court is a long process that can be highly expensive. Using mediation as a forum to resolve child arrangements and financial issues costs a lot less and usually leads to progress more quickly.
Forward Family Mediation provides a secure and neutral setting that allows for both parties to put forward their wishes and concerns going forward.
We are experienced in mediating between couples in different types of relationships, including those who are married, unmarried and in civil partnerships, as well as same sex couples.
We are also familiar with mediating couples who are in religious marriages and wish to divorce.
To ensure that a child’s voice is heard when issues relating to them are discussed, we offer Child Inclusive Mediation. A qualified mediator speaks to the children to ascertain their wishes and feelings. With the children’s permission the mediator then shares the children’s feelings with their parents in a separate meeting. This helps the parents understand their children’s position when making arrangements for them.
